Touring nationally, the Edgar Allan Poe Speakeasy show brings four Poe stories brought to life and paired with themed cocktails to Southeast Salem.
When the state of Oregon shut down and required all non-essential businesses to close, we knew we had to help in some way. Our friends from McMinnville gave us the idea to raise money for local restaurants in the Dallas community by encouraging customers to bring in their receipts from recent visits to local establishments. We collected customers receipts and whatever amount they spent in our store we gave 5% to that particular eatery. We initially began by running the campaign from March 25-April 8, 2020 and decided to run it through the end of April to raise more funds.
At the close of the campaign we ended up donating $1500 to the top ten Dallas Restaurants. Shout out to Technical Solutions who matched total amount of receipts turned in, at just over $200. Together we were blessed to be able to help out in this small gesture and we continue to support these amazing restaurants by eating out as much as possible and ordering take out for our employees.
We can all do something no matter how small to make a difference in the lives of those around us.
Top Ten Restaurants Chosen: Washington St Steakhouse | West Valley Taphouse | Corby’s Public House | Spoon N Folks Thai Cusine | Karma Coffee Bar and Bakery | Ixtapa Mexican Restaurant | Mira Mar | North Dallas Bar & Grill | Chen’s Family Dish
